About the Founder: Tamao Nakayama
With a background in visual arts and crafts from Santa Rosa Junior College and Palomar College, I have spent the last three years managing public art projects across Virginia. As a Resident Innovator at Nova Labs, I am now focusing my decades of artistic expertise on cultural stewardship—supporting both traditional Japanese artisans and local craftsmen. My mission is to ensure these fading traditions thrive in a new cultural context.
